For Christmas we went to Cornville. This is a picture of us in the snow! It snowed for about 10 minutes, it was fun. On Christmas day we opened presents with Mom and Dad Diehl and Marti and then the rest of the family came over later for a nice Christmas meal. Our baby got spoiled rotten with lots of cute gifts. Since I was great with child we didn't do much on our little trip. Last year I started planning of all of these fun things we could do in Cornville and Sedona over the holidays but they were all hiking, mtn biking and the like but me being 8 months pregnant put a damper on things. We did hike a little ways to see a ruin and that was awesome but it was cut short by my smooshed bladder.
We also got to hear Marti give a talk in sacrament meeting. She did a really great job. She is now in the MTC on her way to Spain! Wahoo!
From Cornville we went down to Mesa for Patrick and Patricia's sealing. It was wonderful to be there and share in their joy of being sealed for eternity. The whole Bryan and Dorothy Ellsworth family came down to celebrate with them. It was great to be with family. It was also great to see Marlene and Miguel again. They are such great people!
The open house turned out well even though we were running around until the last minute like we always do. We had tamales, a chocolate fountain and a Mexican band. It was quite the party. At first I was annoyed by the band's presence but then I warmed up to them and quite enjoyed their version of some great songs. By the end of the night people were dancing and really enjoying themselves. It was a lot of fun!
The day after the big party we headed back to San Diego and Dad, Pat, Patricia, Marlene and Miguel came and stayed a couple of nights at our place before they headed up to LA to fly home. They spent a day enjoying some of the great things San Diego has to offer. The photo above is of us at La Jolla cove watching the sea lions down below in the water. It was fun to have them here.

It's fun to see the belly shots. You look great Emilee, and we need to mail you a gift soon. Do I have your new address? Can we call you Auntie Em?
The infamous smooshed bladder! Some day soon you'll be able to go more than an hour. And the funny thing is that you'll miss the little wiggle worm being inside when you're chasing her down on the outside! You guys are going to have so much fun! We can't wait!
It was fun to meet you guys! I am excited to see pics of that baby when she comes!
